Bulb replacement for 2002 C240 Sedan

I'm really pissed off that it will cost me over $5000 to have the Bi-Xenon option ($750 at factory) installed aftermarket.

Some people have suggested to just replace the stock bulbs with other brighter bulbs.

My question is...is it possible to use an 80w bulb in my 2002 C240? Will it damage anything in the car? Will it melt anything? Has anyone had any experiences with PlasmaGlow Plasma bulbs (www.plasmaglow.com - http://www.plasmaglow.com/plsmax.htm )? They come in H7 and 9006.

I really want the Xenon look but can't justify the cost to have the real thing. Actually, the dealership even suggested NOT to do it. They have NEVER done one in their history of service.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.[:)]
