I received my shiny new car at the weekend and I just love it! The automatic transmission didn't take long to get use to but I much prefer using the tiptronic function. I've never owned a car with cruise control before and although I've read the manual, I'm a bit unsure about using it.[xx(]
The cruise control by Mercedes is excellent. After driving an Accord for 10 years, and dealing with the nuances of its cruise control, the MB is a delight. Once you set it, there is no lag between your set speed and when the computer takes over to maintain it, it occurs instantly (unlike in Honda's). The stick control is also easier to manage than buttons on the wheel.
Well, I've had my Jalopy for a few weeks now and I'm still having fun driving it around. The automatic transmission is starting to bug me a little and I've been finding it quite sluggish on acceleration (been using Tiptronic to avoid this experience). I've started to use the cruise control on the way to work in the morning as I feel safer using it when the traffic is quieter (I am such a scaredy cat!).
