I read on this forum that the passenger side, side view mirror tilt down when you put it in reverse for the c class. is this true for the c240 as well. i have a 240 and it doesn't tilt down.
No, your C240 does not have a passenger side view mirror that tilts down when you are reversing. This feature is found on the C320 and C32 AMG but not the C240. Even so on the C320 and C32 AMG this feature must be activated through the little on screen menu below the speedo.

my C240 does have this feature, just leave the selector switch for the passanger side mirror. You will deactivate the driver's side darkening feature by doing this.
My 2002 C 240 also has a passenger side mirror that automatically turns down when in reverse. It does have a bit of a mind of it's own, and doesn't do it 100% of the time, but I understand that that has been a problem with other Cs.

Any C with the memory seats have the parking convenience mirror option. You have to have the passenger side mirror selected (the switch above the lights) and I think you do have to have activat it in the settings menu from the steering wheel.
