Has anyone performed an ECU chip upgrade on a C230K? Who did you use? Problems? Praises?

I've been thinking of Upsolute, any comments, pro or con?

Warranty woes? (Yes, I know, implicit voiding, but REALLY?)
According to Upsolute, they have to open the ecu by prying the case open and then desolder the chip, reprogram it and resolder. Should your ECU break they will have to remove it and the case will look tampered with and if they open it, the chip will look resoldered. So you would have to ask yourself, are you feeling lucky?

Personally I would take the risk because of my pulley mod. The risk of running too lean outweigh the risk of the ECU breaking. On the plus side, the pulley/chip combo should be good for 40hp at the rear wheel. So for under a grand combined it's a good kick in the pants.

Also look for a chip from GIAC to come soon. That will have some features not available on the Upsolute chip like switchable modes using a remote control.
I asked when I watched Ed's install. It was either $20 or 50, I think?

I was really interested in it when I asked the question, but on second thought, MB will be able to tell visually that the ecu's been screwed with, so resetting it back to stock won't really help, unless the mod that they do really messes with the a/f ratio, and you need to get it back to stock to get it to run until you can get it rechipped.
