I have a 2001 C240 and I noticed at speeds between 65 and 70 mph, the car revs at about 3000rpms. It always seems like it need to shift again but it's already in drive (5th gear ) Is this normal for this car or may I have a problem ???
If you have an automatic, that sounds normal. I have the six speed which is at around 2800 rpms when I'm at 70 mph in sixth gear. I have closer gear ratios, but I also have one more gear so I would think that it evens out. Are you concerned that it is too high?
