On the canadian version u cant turn off the headlights because those r daytime running lights, american versions have to be switched on manually.

According to dealer they can but..............................

According to MB dealer they can remove the automatic switch but they won't do it because of the law. Anyway, the car is not in Canada anymore, I was wondering if there's a way to do it manually by adjusting the setting in the computer... does anybody know how?????

Re: According to dealer they can but..............................

Well, I just had a C 220 CDI rental in Germany, and the DRL function was accessible through the car's configuration menu in the instrument cluster. You could also turn off the auto-lock function for the doors, and change the setting for the duration of the foglight's 'guide-me-home' function after remote locking. Since I don't usually drive a C in the US, I am not sure if these calibrations are Euro-only or not...<br>
