Adding a sub to my C32......help! - Benzworld.org

Hi, 
Like some of you, I find the stock bose system to be lacking in bass. Because of the fibre-optic connections, I think it's too much pain in the ass to improve the overall quality of the system. However, I do wish to add a sub to my car. Here are some of questions: 
1. For those who've already installed their subs, where did you guys put them? I noticed that the spare tire area is a good place to put a sub in. Any input on this?? 
 
2. I only want a marginal increase in bass. I don't want to blow up my ear and my entire car. So I think a little 8 or 10in sub would be fine. Any suggestions of which brand and model to pick from? 
 
3. I noticed that in DS's post down there, he disconnected the original bose subwoofer. I was wondering if it's impossible for me to add the extra sub while still maintain the original sub at the same time? So that I can have two subs..... 
 
4. Anybody in Toronto who knows a good place to do this work??

There are a few good brands for subwoofers. I would recommend the following as I have had good results with them. 1) JL Audio 2) Rockford Fosgate 3) Kicker You must know that even with these brands there are several levels of quality, and just like your Mercedes you get what you pay for. :)
