I'm trying to remove the hood orniment to install a flat star like on the c coupe. Does anyone know how. I ordered a new sports grill and it came with some type of key. I'm not sure if it is for the orniment or not. If anyone has an idea, please let me know.<br>

the hood ornament is easily taken off it does not require a special key just make sure that the height adjustment on the oranment is just right though for more info email me
Mine is a 2002 C240 and it has a quick release. Just pop the hood and you'll have access to the back side of the hood ornment. Just turn the fastener on the back side half a turn and it should pop right out.
