Please help with my HID lights!!!

I bought a hid system from ebay that was bought directly from mb for $2000 and im having trouble with it.
First, the light bulb (per se) does no fit in the housing like the old halogens do. is there a way to make it work without a sh_t load of silicon?
Next, I fired them up and they seem fine when engine is off. When engine is running, one side flickers and goes out and tries to relight.

also, when I drive i see a lot of dark spots within the light pattern, Is that normal?

Please give your advice because I am ready to chuck these dam things.
How to do it right...

To do it right u need the original xenon (HID) headlight, meaning most important you need the reflector (think you call it that. it's been awhile..) cos the xenon bulb has another bulb-housing than the h7 bulb which was original. To make it original you also need the ohter glass (not necesarily) Don't ever use silicone to glue it in if u use the H7 reflector, you've got. Use Loctite engine block 2-component glue it withstands the temperature at the bulb-base which is about 250degrees celsius! degrees F??? I've got the tech spec sheets of te bulbs if you want them... most important whatever conversion you do the center (where the light actually comes from) of the old and new bulb GOT to be identical, otherwise it'll NEVER work. The flickering might be a current or voltage problem you have there, first try one fuse size larger, you also might have problems with your light check module, don't know about W203. I've done 3 coversions, my C43 fogights, my SLK headligts and my Multivan headlights all work great, mail me if you want more details.

Stefan
pD956ED6D.dip.t-dialin.net
