Two ";identical"; C320s compared

Fellow user Jonathan (QQ) and I compared our Canadian C320s today - both are new silver C320s; his has about 3500 km on it; mine 6500. A few interesting things emerged:

My gear lever has no red LEDs there - his does!

My menu allows me to set a top speed - his does not.

Both engines make a bit of rev-dependent click-clacking noise.

On both, we've had a number of minor issues. Nothing big. On mine these have included a rattle (broken bit in door replaced), wind noise (door seal replaced, almost OK now), a stuck roof switch (fixed it myself), etc.

Bose sound system is MUCH better with CD (his) than without (mine)

But Bose is not as good, apparently, as on the older C models.

We got different tires.

We have both had the problem that the red radio- and air back lights go from very dim to very bright, without intermittent levels, and sometimes not always right (too dim or too bright for the ambient light).

Closing the hood sounds tinny - same on both.

I had been told I had leather but it looks very likely it's not full leather on the seats! Door sides are leather but seats only have the inserts, it appears. Just checked my bill: shows no leather.

So anyway - we're no doubt seeing "rolling" production fixes and changes here. Fascinating: I recommend all of you to do the same, compare to another C to spot those subtle differences.

See a couple of today's pics here:

http://neti.mvw.net/mvw/pics/c320b/2xc320-e.jpg

http://neti.mvw.net/mvw/pics/c320b/2xc320-g.jpg
Cheers,
Michael
1. I was not aware everyone reads both: the posts do differ so I kind of doubt *everyone* reads both.
2. I figure it does no harm. Only a few bytes of info go onto the net.
Michael
What about delayed acceleration from stop?

You had mentioned a while back that you noticed something I had also. When you accelerate from a stop, there is a delay. Did the other car have this same behavior? I'm wondering if they'll eliminate that.
-Scott
