I have the same engine and I'm modifying my car also a lot. I have tons of questions regarding the tune.
The software in the vid is the galletto 1260 read out program (?) I have also, but I didn't manage to modify the bin file.
Can you give me some advice?
How much psi do you get?
Did you modify the HFM? I removed the metal screen inside and got better air flow, but from 5200 upm up the car leans out and looses power.
I bought a remapped file from "speer chiptuning" (you cand them with google)
you can send them the original file and they will adjust it for you
after that the car will be a lot smoother and more torquey in the lower rev range
the car only runs @7.5psi @wot @ 3000RPM and remains almost the same trough the rev range (measured before the throttle body)
The intercooler is still stock (I tried a bigger one but the car lost some power and boost ((6.5psi) )
I also removed the metal sceen underneath the throttle body
My MAF saturates at around 178g/sec @ 5000RPM but the engine doesn't lean out (primairy 02 sensor stays @ 0.8v)
The maf is a Siemens 5WK9613Z
Give the custom bin file a go and see if that fixes the lean condition
what pulley combo are you running?
I'm using a 69mm ebay pulley on the supercharger and the stock engine pulley
do you also have the stock 54mm diameter exhaust?
i think that the c200K has a narrower exhaust then the C230K with m111 (can't find that info on the internet)
so you did a read out of your ECU by yourself? With which hardware? I have a Galetto 1260 and found that not the whole chip can be read out with it.
You did sent the bin file to speer tuning and got a modified back and wrote it to the ECU?
I have 175 g/s at 8-9 psi. First with the 220 mm aluminum crankshaft adapter pulley, then I got a M45 from a 230K with the small pulley (65mm?) and got 12 psi@3000. But this was not usable, lean condition. If you calculate the amount of fuel you need at 12 psi, you probably need bigger injectors, free programmable ECU, new mass air sensor....
Now I drive only the 230K charger at 8-9 psi (behind TB). (BTW the OBD pressure value is not a real measurement)
You need only a new intercooler when the air temperature is all the time above 35 °C, then the ECU is changing ignition.
Exhaust diameter is 54 mm, the 230 has the same but has a 4-2-1 manifold
Yes, speer chiptuning adjusted the file and I loaded it back into the ecu with a galetto flasher
The problem you are having is probably the maf output voltage signal being to high due to all the extra air
(mine is also on the edge, I have had the same problem like you when trying a double pulley, for now I gave up on double pulleys and focused on the exhaust with great succes)
You probably need to clamp the maf with a zener diode 4.7 or 4.3volts so the ecu doest go in "safe mode"
(see the slk boards)
Please let me know about the result of your clamping try.
Have you done a bit compare with the tune?
Your manifold is great! I wish I can do that. Does the tune have to know about the different manifold?
Which program do you use for logging parameters? I use Torque on Android, it is probably one of the best on market, but I have trouble with the dwell time. It would be better If one can set the read out frequency for different parameters independently.
hello! What temperature was your stock intercooler at? My temperature is 45 degrees Celsius. when it's 32 degrees Celsius outside.
I just have such a problem that the engine gives off all its power when it is cold, when the engine warms up or I stand in a traffic jam, the engine is dull and does not go as fun. do you know what it could be?
I also have a pulley on the compressor 70mm.
