After the car started to show the symptoms of a faulty CPS and code p0339 and then p0335, I replaced the CPS for the C240, the car would not start at all. I took the sensor back to Oreily and got another one. Now the car was running in the garage in the park, drive, and neutral position but it died when I put it in reverse. Am I running into another bad CPS or something I need to do
Thank you
The only thing I can think of if it is CPS related is that the movement of the engine is just enough to affect it. Other than the drivetrain rocking in the opposite direction when reverse is selected, there's no difference.
I put back the old CPS and the car worked but I was afraid to drive away from the house and get stranded. The two Cps I bought did not keep the car running and they looked the exact same as the original.
I broke a crank position sensor on a B class the other day. The engine goes into limp mode and the engine management light comes on, and drives a bit rough. Thats my only experience of that. Does that sound similar to what you're experiencing at all?
