Side view mirror help! C240

Somehow the glass on my drivers side view is loose from the motor (ok, I hit some bushes with it backing out of my driveway last summer). Anyone have some photos or know how to attach the mirror back to the motor so that I can slide the housing back on?

Thanks a ton.

Thanks but I still can't figure it out from those sheets. They don't show how the mirror comes off the motor or in my case goes back on.

Take the mirror paneling off then compare it to the mirror on the passenger's side That's what I would do.

Edit: See this thread: http://www.benzworld.org/forums/w203...tallation.html

Fixed! Basically did what you said and took the passenger side mirror housing off to look at it. There is a skinny metal wire like spring on the top part of the backside of the mirror this has to be pried upwards with a knife while holding the mirror in place onto the motor and the wire/spring needs to latch behind a very small plastic clip on top of the motor. Seems easy but was actually quite difficult.

Thanks for the help guys!
