Question HELP!! Need help changing the bulb on my left rear brake light? Any suggestions??

Need help changing the left rear brake light bulb! My sensor came on a few days ago and the dealer wants to charge over $35 to change it out when the part is just $2.60???? I figure this shouldn't be too difficult.... Would seriously appreciate any help out there....

on my 04 C230 all you do is take the carpet over off from in front of the brakes lights then take the plastic cover off in front of the tail light and all the bulbs are exposed. Then just change the bulb that needs to be replaced....

You could help us be more precise by telling the year and model.

It is also in your owner's manual, with pictures. Page 291 on the 2003 manual. There's lots of useful information in there so it's worth at least skimming through. You might find hidden features as well.

My advice would be to change all the bulbs at once. Often, when one bulb goes, the others aren't far behind. I chased bad bulbs that would set off the sensor and display an error on the instrument cluster for months until I finally just replaced them all.
