Hey guys
I have an 01 c240 and the back right wheel seems to have started making a ticking noise. Its almost like have a baseball card in a bike wheel, but just a little bit quieter. It speeds up when I make a turn and the car leans toward that side. Its less noticiable at highway speeds, but upon approaching stop signs/lights. You can def notice it. Maybe a wheel bearing, or CV Joint? Can do the basics on cars but I wouldnt say Im a Tech by any means. A little input on that would be great.
The tickings coming from the right side. On the left side it makes 2 noises. When going over a pot hole, decent size bump or any other PA road for that matter it makes a noise like if I was to have a bolt with washers on it and a nut at the end. Imagine me shaking the bolt with the washers bouncing of the nut at the end. It makes a clanging noise when hitting bumps. Sounds like somethings loose. Now when I enter my drive way at a weird angle. The back suspension makes a bell dong like noise.
I used to have this problem on my mk4 jetta in the front left. It ended up being the spring spining when I would move the wheel. Now Im not sure what would be doing this for the back. This is why I came to you guys. I realize that I have super poor descriptions ,and its leading to bad grammar. In my defense its terribly hard to recreate the sounds through words on a forum.
If anyone has any questions about that please ask. I appreciate any help I can get from you.
Rick
