| A/C Condensor Drain Tube Location The A/C smells like "toe" again, and I've sprayed Lysol into the under hood intake on multiple occasions. Seems like the odor comes back pretty quickly. It just occurred to me that I never saw any drops of water on the driveway this summer when the A/C was running, so I suspect a plugged drain tube. Since I live in Houston, I would expect to see some evidence of the de-humidification that occurs when 98% humidity meets a cold A/C condensor.
I jacked the car up on the passenger side jack point (and put a jack stand under a front suspension component) and tried to find the drain tube so that I could run a wire up it to make sure it is open. But with the car sitting so low to begin with and all the plastic underbody panels, I couldn't find the tube, which I would guess is in the firewall area on the passenger side. Anyone know exactly where it is?
Also, how much work is it to expose the A/C condensor for cleaning? It's located under the dash on the passenger side, right? |
