P0154 Code wont go away?

I have had a p0154 code and replaced the drivers side front 02 sensor with a bosch universal and the light came back on. Figured the universal may be the prob so I bought a bosch exact fit and put that on today. Light came back on. I am at a loss here. I give up Anybody have and ideas here? Ive pulled the cable to let it reset a few times and no luck. Do I actually have to take this thing in to get the computer reset??? I have got to get the darn engine light to go off! Any help would be great guys!!

Well, I checked everything out as far as loose connections and now I have a p0151 code. Could this be from spark plugs or something like that? No other codes, new Bosch sensor and I cant get this to go away. Took it to autozone and cleared the code with the scanner and comes back on the second start up just like before. Any hints would be awesome

I really hope you find this out, because I thought I was going crazy when I got the same code thrown on my c230 -> then I replaced the indicated O2 sensor -> and the second start or so the light is back on. Talk about angry after spending $300 on the sensor, and $200 on a unit to read and clear codes...UGH!

I've never had an MB V6 so my only question is, could it be you changed the sensor on the wrong side?

P0151 & p0154 = Bank 2 Sensor 1 so from my understanding that would be drivers side, upstream of cats unless Im loosing it. Can anyone positively confrm that?

Just bought a set of NGK 7090 (Gpower platnum) plugs. Gonna put those in and see what happens. Im thinking I may be getting the sensor gode due to some fuel issues. Got 80k miles on it so regardless of what the oem's are rated at it could be a culprit. Ill post results when I get it done.

With an OBD2 scanner, you should be able to read the voltages of each sensor to see if they are working correclty. For example, I would imagine that there should be little to no difference between sensor 1 on bank 1 or 2, if there is, then there's something wrong. My guess is that if you are getting a P0154, no activity detected, it will be pretty obvious when you see the voltages. If you are near me in the O.C., I can check it for you with my scanner. It produces a moving graph of voltages from the O2 sensors.


Plugs won't make a difference, but it can't hurt.

Well, plugs didnt do crap other than slightly smoother idle but thats prolly me rationalizing putting them in. Cleaned mass air while i was in there, put in some fuel system cleaner (figured couldnt hurt). Checked all the hoses and vac lines. All ok. After second start up....light comes back on. Next step as soon as the rain stops: Finding my multi meter and testing the second new sensor to see if its working properly.

Well, tested the Voltage on the sensors and heres what I came up with:
Warmed car up for a while, reved to about 3k a few times and checked voltage as follows: Going Clock wise, WHITE: 2-3 V , WHITE: 13.8 with small fluctuations, GREY: .02 constant, BLACK: .1 to .8 fluctuating but at one point stuck at .1

Turned off the car, started back up and let run for a few to check the sensor on the other side of the engine, but only the grey and black when it was running. GREY: .02 constant, BLACK: .1 to .8 constant fluctuation.

Turned car off and got ready to ceck the sensor in question agian. Started car back up, reved a couple of times to 3K rpm and tested the black wire again= stuck at .9 and then started to fluctuate between .8 and .9 slowly.

Any thoughts, Im thinking Im having intermitten problems with that sensor. Does any of this sound normal?
