Turn signal on mirrors

I was wondering if anyone can direct me to a previous posting that has any imformation on how to change the LED turn signals on the mirrors. I have a 2005 C 230 Sport and my left mirror turn signal sometimes works and other times it will not work. I appreciate any input.

Thanks,

PR

It is not the LED that has a problem it is the wiring.

Thanks for the reply, I remember reading a posting that mentioned the wiring. It said that you need to get into the mirror assembly and play with the wires until it stays on, I was looking for any info on how to take it apart.

Thanks,

Thanks,
It is fairly simple, turn the mirror inwards as far as it will go and then close the folding mirror, Behind the folding mirror you will find a small square hole and inside this you will find a retaining clip. Use a screwdriver to unlock this clip and then slide the cover off.

C230 Sport Coupe,
if i was planning on smoking them, would you reccommend, taking them off, or would you just apply it to the car, and mask it all off?

i would highly recommend taking them off...less hassle/overspray etc...plus heating them up the plastic is always a good idea when painting/spraying it...gets a smoother finish
