W 203 Gear knob steering,wheel change, clutch nosie ?

Hey I have a w203 manual trans
I need a few inputs on the foll;-
1) How do I remove the gear stick knob?
2) The AC vents
3) The steering wheel

Also when I release the clutch in first or second gear I kinda get a lotta noise from the engine, this noise reduces if I release the clutch reaaaaaaaaaly slowly. Is this because of worn clutch plates or a bad spark plug, pse shed some light?
Ive done about 32 K in the harshest conditions in India.

Many thanks

Pull up the boot first and it'll be obvious how to remove the knob. The boot is just clipped around.

The center stack removal instructions are here: COMAND APS Retrofit - Facelift C and CLK Class (W203, W209)

The steering wheel is removed with a long Torx from the backside to remove the airbag, then it is a splined shaft. Do not use the steering wheel lock to hold it in place while you undo the nut!

Noise could be a bad clutch or a bad thrust bearing. Does it make the noise if you just barely hold the pedal down?

Hey Zeet,
Thx for the reply, the noise kinda starts if you release the clutch normally or a tad qucik, this happens only 1st & 2nd gear, only if you release the clutch a tad quick.
Would U happen to have any DIY pics for clutch replacments.

Thx

No, sorry. No pictures. Haven't seen them anywhere here, either. It should be pretty straightforward, it's a RWD car so you drop the transmission to do it. I know they had to drop the transmission for a warranty repair on my car, and I had it back in 3 hours, so it can't be that tough.
