How to Open Panoramic Roof (A newbie)

Hi All,

I have just got myself a C220 coupe, and I am finding it hard to open the panoramic roof, when i press the button/switch backwards, the black curtain/cover which covers the panoramic roof opens up, but I dont know what to do to actually open the roof itself, I dont want to break the switch.

I know the roof opens as the seller did open it for me, but I have forgotten how he done this.

Thanks all in advance.

Nice car you got there

Its the same button. Once the inner curtain has opened you should be able to push the switch back again and it will tilt and slide open. Push it a little click more and it should open automatically so you can let go and it will continue.
Incidentally, if you push the switch -up- it will only tilt the roof open.

Thanks for the reply, once i push the buton back, nothing happens. the guy certainly opened it for me, how on earth can i forget, am i supposed to some something for like 3 seconds or so ?. The iner curtain does open till the end, but then pushing the switch backwards does nothing afterwards.

He's described it perfectly - first push back opens shade, second slides the top open.

oh, I never found it difficult to open, if anything sometimes it goes onto auto too easily when I want it to stop half way!
It may be that something (the glass roof) is stuck. I'd take it back to the dealer and ask them to check it over... (or you could have a look around the roof panel to see if it looks like something is stopping it opening..

Thanks chaps, I figured it out. When the curtain opens, you click it once or twice and it then opens. Thanks all for your help..
