How much oil?

Hey guys i have a 2003 C230 Komp and the last 2 times ive changed my oil using the amount it says to fill it back up my big red light usually comes on a while after while driving that says Stop Engine Reduce oil level and i have to suck some back out from under the hood where the dipstick would be if it had one

If you have a manual it's in there.

My 2003 C240 takes 9qts I believe.

Give us an idea of how much Oil you are putting in.
In Quarts.
Also; do you change your Oil Filter at the same time?

Mine is 6.2 Quarts. Not a molecule above that

Filling and Draining back and forth is counter-productive.

The book says 5.8 and i let it drain for a while to make sure all of it is out and i do the filter everytime

I have an 03 c230k and it took almost 7 quarts the last time I changed it.
