I noticed yesterday the key I usually use will not lock the doors as easily as before. It unlocks the car without a problem but locking the car is! I took out the spare key this morning and tried locking the doors and it did it on the first try. Is my key shot and need to be replaced by the dealership or is there some way to open it and replace a battery? I like the idea of a spare key for an emergency and would like to resolve this problem.
If you take a look in your owners manual it should show you how to replace the battery in the key. Its something you can do your self, nothing tricky to it.
