Battery/alternator and undervoltage warnings after a month's inactivity
Hi all,
I have a 2002 C230 coupe and after going away for a month and keeping the car in the garage I'm getting a "battery/alternator malfunction" message which is followed after about 5 mins of driving by a "undervoltage consumer defective" warning. I would normally take these more seriously but I assume they are linked to the fact that the battery might have drained a bit while I was away. Does this sound like a fair assumption?? Should I just drive around for a day or two to get the battery charged, or should I not tempt fate and go to the workshop?
