I have a 2007 C230 that I just got. I would like to use a zune or something to input music. Does this car have any wired in auxiliary inputs and if so, what type? Where are they, etc?
My car does NOT have Navigation or the premium audio. It has the standard radio with numeric buttons on the right and the volume on the left.
There is a sticky on this topic. I believe 2005 and up DO have aux inputs. You would need to buy the cable and connect it. Your lucky, I don't and wish I did so I could connect my ipod for like $30 instead of $300 at least.
FYI, I just pulled mine apart (cracked the kick panel slightly but its not noticeable as of now).
I found NO white plug, but there was an empty black plug. I pulled everything I saw out and took pics with my cell. Please tell me if this is ready for any type of aux input and what part number it is. As I said, my radio says theres aux there if I hold down CDC. Here they are:
I ripped it apart again today and dug all the way up to the floor boards by the passenger feet, which is a metal plate. I saw no white connector anywhere unless its run underneath that big metal plate under the passenger feet.
Maybe your 07'model doesn't have it!
Or the black plug might be an iPod kit connector...I don't know!
But, I heard that iPod cable costs over $100...the AUX cable is just $35.

But neither would work for me because I dont have the white connector right?
The best thing to do is to try to find a location that has the plug in house for the 2007 so you can compare to see if it's a match to what you have in the pic.
