performance

I currently own a 05 c230 sport and am looking for better off the line performance. Has anyone purchased and installed an affordable performance chip that they can recommend. I am not looking for racetrack speeds but I would like to get a little more out of the car. Any other suggestions would be appreciated as well.

Doesn't say if you have a slush box or manual but since most MB's are slush boxes, research the SprintBooster. Won't make anymore HP but it will give you a better seat of the pants experience. If you want to add HP, there are some chip companies but keep in mind that for $500+ you will not likely feel any difference, just a few ponies. Also stay away from cheap aftermarket wheels that are heavy and slow you down. A set of 19" wheels that cost under a few thousand will likely rob you of a full second in 0-60.

K&N airfilter and exhaust would probably be the cheapest options.

what type of gains are generally seen from the exhaust and k&n? does k&n have a kit specifically for these cars? ive done a bit of research on exhaust upgrades and have generally turned up very little as to what brands do a full engine back system. any suggestions?
