Brake Light 20002 C230 Sport Coupe

Ok...here goes my first, and completely embarrassing post. I am trying to change a brake light bulb on my 2002 Sport Coupe. On all other European cars I've owned it was a matter of turning a knob and removing the light bulb. This one is different, all I see are two latches in the middle of the bulb carrier. I press the latches together and I can't remove the carrier. Any suggestions out there?

Ok.... mystery solved. Previous owner had applied an unreal amount ox epoxy to the bulb carrier.

Glad you got it fixed, and welcome to the forum. You should update your profile, user information, and signture if you feel like it. If you stick around this forum will have yet another active c230 sportcoupe owner. There are not many, trust me.
