Mirror replacement, different connectors.

My right mirror got smashed in a parking lot. I ordered a new one and received it today.

The connector at the rear is different even if the part numbers match.

Is it that they decided to bypass this connector and that the new mirror connects directly in the door? In another words, should i try to splice and solder the wires, or open the door panel to connect it directly inside the door.

I tried to post a picture below... not sure if it'll work.

I opened the door panel, and i figured it all.

As i tought, a connector was removed from the design. The mirror now connects directly inside the door.

The picture below shows the wire harness that's not used anymore.
