2002 C230 Coupe brake upgrade

Hello everyone,

I have a 2002 c230 Coupe which I just upgraded to a 2007 C230 sports brakes I found used, it seemed to be a direct bolt on but I am having the ABS light come on and it also disables the BAS and electronic stability. I need help diagnosing the problem. If anyone know how to fix the abs light issue I would greatly appreciate the help.

Sounds like maybe you got some bubbles in the line.
Clearing bubbles from the ABS requires DAS to pulse the ABS pump.
I run AMG brakes, and never had ABS errors.
I get ESP errors but thats related to a sensor, and I really don't like ESP, so I don't bother fixing it.

C230 Sports Coup,

I have tried bleeding the brakes and abs block several times. I have noticed that at startup the abs light will sometimes stay off but when I brake I feel the abs engauge and when I speed up the abs light comes on again. The only parts I upgraded was the front rotors and brake calipers from a 2007 sports c230, do i need to upgrade any other parts in my 2002 c230 brake system?
