The trunk latch on my 2002 C240 broke; I purchased a replacement latch and started installing it but I've encountered a problem. One of the electrical connections is a 3-pin- the new part is a 4-pin. It came w/ a 4 pin adapter. I've tried inserting the 3 wires into the 4 pin adapter in various configurations and can't seem to make it work. The alarm will go off (which I believe is the white wire) but I can't get anything else to work when I plug in the other wires (brown & brown/yellow). When I pull the trunk handle, I get nothing.
I'm not sure if I'm just not plugging these wires in right (anybody have a diagram for this?), or if I've done something else to make it not work.
Any suggestions?

on the new connecter, the first slot isnt used, which is pin 1. only slots 2,3,4 are used. if you hold on till later, i can pull up the wiring diagram and get you the wire configuration. more then likely you just have the wires in the wrong slots. call me around 10 or so and ill help you, pm sent.
