:confused:Hi everyone,

I recently found out that my power steering started squeeking when I turn left (but way less often when I turn right... almost never). Is this a problem with my power steering pump? Could it be worse? When i turn my wheel, i hear some squeeking(some metal) noise and even I turn my steering a little bit.

I found that happened when I drive slowly or stand still (while I try to turn the steering wheel a little bit left or right). Plus when I drive slowly, I heard that squeeking noise comes from the front wheel. I only hear the noise when I drive slow or stand still, and I feel very very little bit of restricted toward left or right, and seems not as smooth as normal. I don't hear much or feel much when I drive fast. what's accessory belt? where is it?
Thank you so much for answering. Help please!!!:crybaby2:

It misses its mechanic, and thinks your wallet is getting too thick.
With vague descriptions come vague diagnostics. It could be as simple as a need for a belt adjustment or replacement, or as serious as a harmonic balancer beginning to die. In between those are failing tensioner bearings, a dying power steering pump, noisy brake pads, exhausted power steering fluid and a surfeit of other, well-meaning guesses.
