I installed a used instrument cluster and instead of the mileage it shows dashes. When I open the door, it flashes the mileage for a split second and then goes back to dashes. Does this mean I have to take it to the dealer and have them program in the mileage and if so, do they have to take the dash out like I did or is it simple?
Yes the dealer has to program the mileage into the cluster... the cars ECU and the cluster itself are reading 2 different miles... can't decipher which to display... this is why the ------
