I may be going crazy but is there some sort of voodoo needed to turn on the fog lights? They flash when I lock/unlock the car so i know they work but how do i turn them on? I've looked in the book and that method doesn't work so I may have a problem. It's an 04 C230K.

Try pulling "out" on the light control knob with the lights not in auto mode - on a UK version of the car, there's a indicator light next to the control that comes on. I *think* it's green, and the rear fog indicator is yellow, but I'm pulling that out of a weary mind :-)

Your headlight switch, obviously turns left and right for one and off.
Notice this-when you turn on your Headlights, very slight PULL OUT the
switch. That's what turns on the Fog Lights.
Then the Amber Light on the Switch should come on letting you know you
turned them on.

UK-C200 is correct, pull out one click and the indicator light is green. Pull out two clicks, and the green indicator for the front fogs and the amber indicator light for the rear fog - there is only one rear fog light - should come on.
From what I remember reading on this forum, the rear fog on the driver's side if the car should be the only one to come on.

I was so pissed off about the same thing.. Till I finally read the manual.. I pulled like a MOFAWKER and still nothing.. Turns out they only allow you to pull them on when the switch is in a certain position.. I had mine in AUTO... and that wont allow fogs.. Stupid design..
There is nothing intuitive about the lighting in this car.. Still love it though..

The lamest part is that you can not run your front and rear fogs ONLY at the same time. You have to run the front main beams to run the rear fog. I have been in some heavy snow and wanted the (blinding) bi-xenons OFF but all three fog lights ON! - No dice. I have also been in some rainy / foggy day light situations where all I needed / wanted was the fog lights...
I can turn on the fog lights ONLY with my w123...

(you can go one click over [city, daytime, running lights] and pull out twice - the dash indicator will tell you the rear fog light is on when - if you go look ... it is NOT!)
