I just bought a CF Lip for my car, and now I am looking to put it on. I went to a few body shops and got quotes from $100-150. Now, I have a friend who did this on his lexus IS and he told me it wasnt that hard. The lip has little dents on it where you would drill the holes so there is no guess work
To do this we would remove the bumper, line up the lip with doubble sided tape, then drill through the lip and bumper at the same time. Then we would put on the bolts and attach the bumper.
I want to know if anyone has done this before. and where all the bolts are to remove the bumper. I would also like to know what kind of bolts I would need to attach the bumper.
any advice or pics/diagrams would be awesome
thanks for any help

I added a lip on my old car and everything was all ready pre-fabricated so adding on the lip was easy. I didn't take off the bumper.
What I would do is put the car on ramps put the lip on, tape the sh*t out of it so it doesn't move (packaging tape) and work from there. I'm sure you could get it done if you take your time and are careful.

sweet
i was planning on lining it up and using doubble sided tape to keep it in place
how many bolts did you use? also, what kind of bolts did you use?

I would use more then double sided tape because if your gonna be drilling it's def going to move. The more support the better, a couple extra hands couldn't hurt either. The bolts came with the lip, there were also clips. They weren't that large/long. If you want to keep the car somewhat consistent I'd use the same bolts that are used for the belly pan. I forget the size but they would work well.
