Clicking sound while driving

I sometimes get a loud clicking sound while driving my coupe. It is coming from somewhere by the front of the vehicle. Clicks faster as the vehicle increases speed. Ruled out a bent wheel as the cause, because it is not always present. Thinking that it is likely the drive shaft insulation as discussed on a few other threads, but the strange part is the sound seems to quiet, or stop, after applying the brakes. Any ideas?

Do you have stock lug nuts or aftermarket ones? If they are too long they could be hitting something in your hub causing the clicking. Just an idea.

I have the OEM wheels, and lug nuts. Also, as I said before the sound is not always present, so that couldn't be the cause. Do you know if the drive shaft insulation is a permanent sound until corrected, or can show up occasionally? The sound gets decently loud sometimes, and then other times it isn't noticable.

check the torque on your links/control arms/bars, etc. Mine was a little loose with the stockers (before i upgraded), or you might need new bushings.
