I just had my transmission replaced at the dealer and they gave me a Toyota Camry. Base model as all hell, cloth seats and all.

Yeah I would hope they wouldn't pull this with me. Last time I brought my car in I got a brand new G35 which I was happy with. When my father brought in his Land Rover we got a Ford Escape, which was a pos. I wasn't happy at all. After that we complained and they gave us a Highlander, which I took offroading for the weekend.

I've had a non-MB loaner one time in 4 years, only because my water pump blew and I needed a quick repair. I always get an MB loaner as long as I book an appt in advance.

When I had my 97 C230 in for some suspension and alingment work, they even gave me an 08 E350 Sport with 18s

Never heard of such a think. My delear uses only MB's, last one I got was a 2007 C230. Maybe it's time to get a different car. My dealer did cut back on car wash hours, devistating but I'm hanging in there.

I personally think this loaner crap is all BS because I moved from another state now the dealer ....(Ray Catena NJ) don't give loaners out if you didn't purchase the car from Ray Catena. Now when I bring the BMW to JMK BMW I aways get a loaner and I DID NOT BUY THE CAR THERE!!!! JMK RULES!!!!!
My c320 has to be dropped off no loaners Thanks RAY CATENA maybe you should take some marketing classes and by giving your clients the newest models out there maybe they trade in what they have because they like what they had as a loaner....

be glad you get a loaner, especially for free. not alot of manufatures do this for there customers. my dealer pays almost 40K a month on loaners. yea it would be nice if you got a c class, but hey for a dealer to give you a free loaner is a hell of a deal. whenever i used to take my car in i had to pay for a loaner. now if the loaner is filthy as hell inside thats a different story. who cares if you get a nissan altima or toyota camry, its a free car for a few days.

It sucks, but it can't be much of a surprise. It's amazing what you can get a borrowed car to do.

I have to agree, when they give me a loner I beat the ever loving shit out of it...
hahahaha

But I have only gotten a non mb loner once and it was only for 1 day. When my ESP control unit went mid drive I had her towed and they had nothing but a Rav 4 that was just traded in to the dealership that day. It still had a "Baby on Board" sticker on the window hahahaha. I learned that Rav 4's rev limiters suck and there top speed is about 108 before it actually sounds like its going to explode. hahaha

Other then that one time which was not scheduled. I have always gotten a C class as a loner - 2007 C280 was the last one about a week ago...
