Hello to the W203 gang! I'm in desperate need of a diagram of the wipers from the repair cd. I'll gladly pay for a copy of a cd if anyone is selling one.
I'm trying to help a friend who’s wife’s car (2003 C240) has the passenger side wiper not working. Of course it's his fault as he had held the wiper and caused it to stop working.
Needless to say he is in the doghouse.
After spending my Sunday morning removing the wiper arms and getting the wiper motor to operate with the hood open....I watched the action of the rotating parts and linkage. Of the 2 passenger wiper arm shafts, I found that only the outside passenger side shaft is not turning. The inner passeger wiper arm shaft and the drivers wiper arm shaft are linkage connected and still rotate when the wiper switch is activated. This outside passenger side shaft appears to be connected to the drivers side mechanism via a hollow tube which I suspect may have a drive cable that is broken.
Can someone with a repair CD PLEASE help me get a copy of the diagram or otherwise help me to identify a part number for the cable that drives the outermost passenger wiper shaft??? Can’t seem to find any info on these wiper systems and I only have the repair CD for my single wiper W124.
To do my part for this list, I'll post my findings and pictures of the repair with a revised title (for easier searching) as soon as I get the problem resolved...which my friend hopes I do very qucikly. =)
