I have a c180 classic 2001 model. I've recently had ignition problems, so i took it back to my dealer. He is having the ignition barrel replaced and they say this will fix the car's problems. Luckily the car is still under warranty so it wont cost me anything. I was just curious how much an ignition barrel thingy costs, because my dealer told me the part was $1900AU. I have no idea how much this part actually costs, but does this sound about right? It was a laser key ignition key thing.
I quickly did a search although i could only find a barrel for a 1993 c180 which was priced at $57AU.
I'm also concerned as to whether everything in my car will work again fine and i wont have to keep taking it back because the ignition barrel thing was not setup correctly.
