For whatever reason my car (2004 C230) seems to have gone to limp home mode about two days ago, whenever that happens I just stop the engine and re-start and continue, but today after driving more or less ok once I stop at a traffic light, when I depress the throtle pedal RPM's do not pick-up at all!!! car just doesn't move!!! What can I do at least till I can get it to my mechanic???
have done throttle lots before, sounds the same prob. if you like press the button under the pedal which is the kick down or full throttle button, then try and drive away, if it does the same then the acc. pedal is at fault
Thanks, I will check the throtle pedal, but I think that is not the problem, this condition only happens after the engine goes into what seems limp home mode where rpm would increase very slowly and with almost no power, then after it reaches about 3000 rpm's then it just does not want to accelerate anymore at all.
