I think you should read the warranty that was purchased for your car and let us know what they cover in it.
I hear a lot of people just like you that say I don’t want to do something that is not going to be cover by my warranty if shit happens. The main thing is that if any work is done on your engine, it should come with some sort of warranty by the shop that is installing it. If you are still worried about this - think of it this way - anything you do to improve performance will also put more strain on engine components and will shorten the life of those components.
if you are worried about warranty? leave it alone or until its paid off.
sorry if i sound like a dick. just my :two: :cents:

Unless something has changed, most mods don't really "void" your warranty due to the Magnusson-Moss act. If something does happen, the dealership has to prove it was due to that modification. It could get into a long legal process that you dont want to have to deal with though. The big problem items are usually things that significantly modify your engine characteristics (non stock superchargers, turbos, computer chips/tuners, pulleys, etc.
Inexpensive mods do not provide cost effective horsepower anyway. Chips & exhaust are unlikely to get you more than 10hp. If you want more power sell the car and get something that's inherently faster. In the long run it's cheaper too, because mods add no value to a car on resale (in fact, they may lower the value), and the resale prices of used mods are typically 25-50% of what you paid for them.

I was giving serious advice, intended to help you refrain from wasting money. I wish someone had given me the same advice once or twice. Like, for example, a C350.

haha my badd.......but I'm not gonna buy a new car cuz I want it to go a little faster. I think no matter what car I get I'll want it to go faster and I looooooove the supercharger thats NOT on the c350
I see. Well, you don't have very many options, and the usual trick of changing the pulley on the SC doesn't appear to be a good option for the 2005 C230. See:
I didn't choose that thread just because it ended with the same advice I gave you. In the end you'll come to the same conclusion. I'm out of here; you're just in denial. As for the C350 option, you're living in one of the few places in the world where you could actually find a used C350, which is probably worth ~10mph in quarter mile trap speed over the C230. Even the C350 is no modern muscle car, but I doubt you'll be hunting for more power.
