transmission slipping sometimes when cold

Every now and then (usually in the morning after just strating the car) my transmission will slip when I step on the gas. Engine revs, and then maybe a couple seconds go by before the wheels start turning. Anyone have this happen? Almost got t-boned pulling out of my complex the first time it happened. Doesn't happen that often, but enough to be cause for concern...

first things first, you need to check the fluid level. a low fluid level can cause the tranny to slip and act crazy.

Mine is screwy too. Slips a little when cold, sometimes bangs into gears and shifts too late a lot. Just had to go take mine into the dealer this morning for the third time. I would go get it checked out asap.
