Hello there everybody, i hope you can help with this one,
I have a C180 sportcoupe year 2002;
it has a factory alarm, a panorama roof, and is modified by somebody to be SCM class 3 verified.
Because i wish to add a siren to chirp "warn away" i wish to install 2 proximity detectors inside of it that should only be active when the alarm is armed.
Today i had my garage test and search for a wire to connect to the "armed state" of the car, and i got to hear that that sort of connection is untraceble in my car.
I hope that somebody here can verify weather it is actually impossible to tap into a negative, or positive state wire when the car is in it's armed mode.
what i need is a wire to tap into to switch a relay that powers a +12 ONLY when the car is in it's alarm.
right now i have a feeling that the garage that takes care of the car asked Mercedes on "how to do that", whereas mercedes cannot help them because of security reasons.
Anything, anybody can tell me on how to do this myself would help, but i would appreciate a simply "this can be done" but only by a mercedes garage.
Somehow i can't believe i have the only car who's "armed state" cannot be used by other security devices.
Thanks for any feedback.
