You put in the housings and balasts to convert to Xenon. Watch out for cheap kits though if you decide to do the conversion. Some of them can make your headlights flicker periodically and can cause the car to say you have a malfunction.
You could also buy them from M.B. and convert them for you if you wish. I would plan on spending a lot of money doing this though.

im following along with black04c230 just putting my word in, but besides that just get high end HID kit most likely if u get a mb dealership hid kit its gonna cost you your wallet but just make shure if u get an aftermarket hid kit ask them if the kit has the malfunction screen when it is installed good luck with the rest!
Go to ebay.com and search for HID H7, you'll see a few, just a tad over 100,000 for sale and they'll work fine as long as you get your dealer to set the xenon=present option. There will be ones that say they come with a special adapter to make them work without doing that, I bought one of those, I still had to get the dealer to set the option on. Some independant mechanics have the MB setup to do this but if they do, they need to pay back the costs on it so they will probably charge you as much or more than the dealer. Some people are lucky and it just works off the bat, same kit, same year car, who knows, some are more sensitive than others. It's not the price of the kid either, getting genuine MB HID Bixenon parts will do the same thing.
So do these kits work with the regular headlights? (second pic)
Or are they only for the one's that look like there's a big round bulb in the housing? (first pic)
Am I the only one confused here?
