I have a 2002 c230k and this week I have been having problems getting it started. I can unlock the doors and the indicators flash but when I stick the key in the ignition...nothing. I really do not want to take it to the dealership. At least until my economic stimulus package comes in .
Do you have another key? If so test that to make sure its just the key thats bad. If not, you will have to order a key at the dealer... probably around 150-200.00
Keys have a certain lifespan... like 80,000 starts... when the key runs out of rolling codes it stops working for starting the car.
