Exclamation Help! Noisy rear suspension.

I have just completed a search with no satisfying results. I have posted about this before, only back then, it was the right rear and I had the dealer fix it under warranty. This time it is on the left side. I would like to fix this myself as the closest dealer is three and a half hours away. The first time I had this issue, I put the car on the hoist and essentially lubed every bushing on all five links. For a while, it didn't seem to be working at all, but a few days later, the sound seemed to disappear, only to reappear a few days after that. I called the dealer and asked them for advice and, because my car is under warranty, the only thing the adviser could say is to bring it to the closest dealer. I frankly would like to do that, too, but when you factor in a day off work, the price of gas there and back, the mileage (which is important, being a lease), and food, it doesn't seem worth the trip. And what if they need to order a part and I have to return the follwing week? Mileage alone will cost me C$198, assuming I go over the limit. (And, with 11,900 Km left with a little over a year and a half left on the lease, I'm well on my way!)
Anyway, if someone has already solved this problem, has a friend on the inside, or simply has a very good working relationship with their service adviser, can you help me out?

Wow, you sure the closest dealer is that far away?
From what I've read up on the subject, the 2005 has the same issue and is pretty much normal. It doesn't harm anything and everyone's so far just left it at that. it makes noise only when people get OUT of the car. I'm not sure if you're having the same issue or if it's squeaky ALL the time.

zoomie, thank you for your reply. Yes, I know for a fact that the nearest dealer is 3.5 hours away. I live in Timmins, ON and the nearest dealer is in Sudbury, ON, both in Canada. My squeek is constant. I am pretty sure myself that it is harmless, but, unlike a Cavalier or Escort, it is kinda embarassing coming from a Benz.
benztech123, the car rides level so I do not think it is a broken spring. I'll look into it this weekend and let others know what I find. Thank you, though.

Does it happen when you go over speed bumps (even very slowly) and more frequent and severe the colder it is? If so, I have the same issue. I had the mechanic take a look while it was up on the lift this week (need a new evaporator...ouch), and he didn't see anything out of the ordinary. He said it was probably a dry bushing. I'll have him lube this up when I take it back in a few weeks and let you know if that works.

I never noticed if it is temperature sensitive. I do know, however, if I push down on the trunk it groans on its way down, as well as up. On another forum, a technician got me thinking, and hopefully this weekend I can get my car on the hoist. I will disconnect one link at a time then bounce the car to isolate the culprit link.
