I'm pick up my car tomorrow. Its a 07 Arctic White C230 Sport. All my previous cars has always been tinted. I get weired out when people stare at me at red lights and so fourth. The thing is, this car has that blueish tint on the windows and i think that is hella cool looking.
If you had a choice to do it all over again, Would you tint you windows?
Went to my local tint place. Guy said there were several problems with tinting the Benz. Window seals are very tight. Windows will be scracthed up in a couple of weeks. He does not recommend doing it.
Get the tint! I just got mine done 2 weeks ago. I would still tint them if I had to do it over again.
Just remember to get the moleskin (felt with superstrong adhesive) installed on the inner window seals. If you don't, you will most likely get scratches all over the tint.

The scratches are not caused by tight window seals. The scratches are caused by a design flaw with Mercedes (and some other cars). There is no felt liner on the inner hard plastic inner window seal. Dirt, grime and particles gets stuck to the plastic liner and scratch the tint up. Installing the moleskin on the inner window seal takes care of the scratching problem.

i would get limo tints..thats what im going to get on my car..i dont like people staring at me in the car, nor ppl staring into my car to see if it has any "goodies"..as well as its easier to get laid in it with tints lol
Im guessing the install on that is pretty easy? Or did you have them place that in when you got it tinted?
Also did you windows have that blue tint on them? If so can you stall see a little of the blue?
Thanks!!
The install of the moleskin is very easy. All you have to do is remove the door panel. The moleskin kit even comes with detailed instructions with pictures that tell you how to remove the door panels. I think some tint shops would install it for you for a small fee, other shops won't want to remove your door panels.
My car is a sport model, so it does have the blue tinted glass. I did a 20% 3M tint. You cannot see the blue at all. I doubt that you will be able to see any blue if you add tint.
I think the blue tint looks great with the white exterior - that's why I chose white. IMO anyone can have tinted windows but the factory MBZ blue tint stands out in a crowd (unless it's a crowd of MBZs!)

I agree if you are going to pay that much money for a car and its a benz you want every one possible to be looking at you, also that blueish tint I think its the nicest you can get on a benz it looks so nice and classy
