what's up everyone. i'm new poster on this forum and am looking for a little help.
I've noticed for one week now that my 01 c240 is giving different malfunction messages: light sensor, SRS then occasionally TeleAid. I've also noted there is very ssssllllllooooooooooowwwww transition on the cluster instrument. so when i switch from radio to any other page, that transition show a moment of overlap then a slow transition to the selected menu. I did have a brake bulb go out and i replaced it, but still getting messages. i'm wondering if these may all be early signs of low battery charge. what do you think. i'm trying to do what i can to remedy the issue before i go to the stealership.
I changed the battery and light sensor, teleaid, esp malfunctions are gone. I changed the battery because i noticed head lights would dim when the fan would go on, heater turned on, etc. also had low voltage when i had it checked at advance auto. However, I still have the srs light on, which had turned on last week spontaneously. i checked all the connections under the seats and looks okay. may be a sensor on passenger side, but from what i read these are really pricey.
