Where Can I Find Right Hand Drive Clear Projector Headlights Please ???
I have a W203 C Class 2002 and i have been seaching for months for aftermarket clear right hand drive projector headlamps and so far i have found loads of manufacturers and retailers for left hand drive but none for right hand drive............Can anyone help please ?
I bought a pair of Bi-Xenon projector headlights off ebay, I had no idea some are made for left hand drive and some for right. My car is arriving this week and now I'm hoping they will fit and work.
This is interesting. I didn't know there is a diference for left and right drive headlight? I am looking for a projection type headlight to replace my W203 frosted type. Only came across the Depo type but heard the clear plastic lens will blur after some usage.
Well cos we drive on the right side of the road our lights point slightly to the left so as not to dazzle the oncoming traffic and i am pretty sure the ones sold on Ebay are made for left hand drive cars, even though i have made an official complaint to Ebay about the companys selling those headlights without stating this.
Apparently the headlights from the states will be illegal as they wont pass an M.O.T
The only other place i have seen headlights for right hand drive that are not Xenon which incidently wont fit without a lot of giggling around is from Ebay/Australia where they also drive on the right side of the road.
If i am right i feel you have a right to claim a refund on your headlights and something as major as this should be stated in their advertsing.
Fai did you buy your headlights from Ebay/Australia.......maybe you was the bidder who bought the one i was after
Now apparently they are out of stock cos Right Hand Headlights are really hard to get hold off cos aftermarket headlights are normally manufactured in Asia where they drive on the left.
I bought them off the main ebay site, I'm wondering if I should go ahead with installlation now... I bought aftermarket lights off ebay for a 99 W210 a few months ago, they gave me hell getting em in, pushing and pulling an .....
Right Hand Drive projectors point in different direction to the LHD ones.
I bought bi-xenons for LHD off ebay.de and since we also drive on the left side of the road, I had to make adjustments manually, to the levelling and left/right position of the headlamp assembly so that I would not blind others coming in the opposite direction.
It would be nice if someone from Auto standards could verify whether LHD headlights are legal on RHD road as my garage refuse to fit a set saying that they cannot be adjusted properly as it how they are designed ? Maybe he is wrong, it would be nice to hear from more people who have had the same experience ?
I will be receiving my car tomorrow and will be taking it to a bodyshop to have the lights put on there. I'm not goin yo tell them they are for a left hand drive vehicle, but I'll post the resulsts here when I have them.
