I checked and i got nothing ...i also called a MB dealership to find out if such thing exists and he said with, i believe, 05 and higher models.

i am still on the quest - from what i gather that some 07 C230ss didn't come with the white plug. so my other alternative is to pull out the CD changer and check to see if the white plug is there, so maybe i can splice into it.. any help or info is appreciated.

If you pull the cd, then you need to use Dension kit, since the CD changer is running on optical cable. I tried to find anything that might convert optical to iPod adapter...but it seems like everything leads up to Dension or similar kit.
Eventhough its pricey, the consensus is that its worth it.

Just some additional info here.

Enclosed find the drawing of the wires on the backside of the radio unit.
The white plug mentioned in several post is X39/36.

I have just installed my Aux and made a female mini jack input in the cupholder on the upper right side. I have only used 3 wires, Brown (BN) for the Ground and Black (BK) and Yellow (YE) for the right and left + input.

it actually seems it has to do with the connection of the aux cable i use after some fiddling i got both to work

but when i plug it all the way in the way it should be only sound from one side......gay

no, it is just a jack input. at least thats what my understanding is.

Maxximus...its just an input jack...like headphones
to charge it you need either a special kit that plugs into the ipod on the bottom and has both the USB for charging and the 1/8 plug for audio...have seen them somewhere on the web.
