Ok so here's the deal. I'm driving the other day and notice a little rattle noise coming from under the car. The noise is only there once the car is warmed up and rattles with engine RPM. Now 2 days later the noise is there all the time and the rattle has gotten alot louder. Yesterday I put the car up on the rack and it seems like the noise is coming from the passenger side resonator where the exhaust comes to a Y. So this is where I need help...Does anyone make a "test pipe" so I can get rid of this resonator setup that is currently on there? It seems as though something might be in the exhaust pipe thats causing this rattling noise but I dont wanna get this thing off and find out thats not true. Has anyone else had this problem? Thanks in advance guys.
I agree this is most likely your cat's they are covered longer than the factory warranty 8yrs/80k miles. So take it in I have never seen a resonator make the noise.
always look for the simple / cheap options first, lol. Classic. Like squeeky brakes... when its a stone lodged in there or somthing.
Locktite might ensure it doesnt happen again.
