i was wondering if it is possible to install a
boost gauge on my 2002 c230 coupe.
i did my search but didnt really found anything.
anyhelp would be appreciated
get a mechanical boost gauge one that runs off of vacuum tap into one of the vacuum lines with i y or a t splitter run the line to the inside of your car, wire up your lights for the gauge and vwalllllaaaaa you have a boost gauge
I copied and pasted this stuff for you & attached the pics. Good Luck.
I just finished installing an Autometer electrical boost gauge. he are the pics and instructions.
1: You must tap into an extra port on the front of the intake manifold. There are two ports here you just need to use 1 of them. Remove the factory rubber cap and get yourself a peice of rubber hose about 1 inch long. Then put one side of the hose to the supplied vacumm tee. Next take the other side of the tee and place the factory rubber cap. Next take the supplied rubber adapter that came with the gauge, place the plastic tubing inside the adapter and push the adapter on the tee.
2: Next you must route the line into the cabin. Be careful not to kink, or pinch the line. I took the line, placed it inside split loom tubing which was also supplied by autometer and ran it into the drivers side shock tower. On this tower there are two grommets in which you can run it through. I then ran it around the shock tower into the fuse box. I drilled a hole in the one grommet of the fuse box and ran the tube into the vehicle from that point. Once you remove the cover to the fuse box, you will see a styrofoam looking peice in the back of the box. Simply pull this peice up and out of the hole. Next you will need to go inside the car and remove the three screws under the drivers side panel so that you can see the opening to the fuse box from inside( look up and left ).
3: You must now make basic power, ground connections. You must also mount the MAP sensor. I chose just behind the fuse box located on the drivers side dash. You must favricate a bracket to mount the map sensor. I chose to place the bolt through a hole already in the vehicles metal frame.
4: You must now maount the gauge. I chose to pull off the left a-pillar trim peice and cut two slits in the plastic and mount it this way. I hope this was informative and helps you with your endeavors.

I am assuming he wants to view his supercharger boost level (C230 K) These engines run a relatively low boost for enhanced durability and reliability so I don't see the need to view unless you run a highly modified set up , pulley, control unit, headers, cam etc..
